About Us
The College Avenue church of Christ in DeFuniak Springs is a congregation that is trying to do Biblical things in Biblical ways. We strive to be pleasing to God as we do His work here on Earth and try to follow in Christ's footsteps: the pattern that has been laid before us in the New Testament.
This congregation was established in November 8, 1946 with the original building built in 1949. In 1953, classrooms and a baptistry were added to the main building. In 1966, a new auditorium was built with the original building converted into (our current) classrooms and an office. In 1994 a fellowship room was added to the existing buildings. In 2025, the auditorium was completely refurbished! We are looking to completely refurbish both the education wing and the fellowship hall in the not-so-distant future, Lord willing.
We are now looking forward to spreading the Gospel of Christ into DeFuniak Springs and beyond.
We are a growing congregation in the Lord and many of our works include:
Evangelism
Fellowship
Men's Ministry
Women's Ministry
Education, using Lads to Leaders as a tool for our children
